If a wine club or shopping cart transaction is created, the inventory in the transaction is “allocated”. The quantity available is reduced and equal to the quantity on hand minus the quantity allocated.
If a transaction is removed, the inventory allocation is reversed which affects the stock available.
If a transaction is modified, the inventory allocation is modified which affects the stock available.The allocation gets adjusted accordingly when orders are “picked up”, “shipped” or returned or a shipment is voided.
This new feature will show “real time” inventory status on the Selection tab of the wine club member secure login page, and on the shopping cart catalog.The Web Pages use the “available” quantity.The Active Club Web Pages can display “Sold Out”, “Only 1 in Stock”, “Only X in Stock” (for up to 12) for each item.
