Active Club Solutions, Inc. Hires New Support Engineer
Pleasanton, CA – Active Club Solutions, Inc. is a leading provider of DTC solutions (Mobile Winery POS, Club, Web Design, eCommerce) since 2003, and is pleased to welcome Scott N. Ayliffe to the team, as Support Engineer.
Joining the Active team, Ayliffe will be an important part of the support team providing technical support to customers of the Active integrated all-in-one software solution. Scott has extensive operational experience in the front and back of house utilizing mission critical software to achieve operational goals and understands the daily concerns of staff and management.
“Having used several software packages in the past, I believe Active’s integrated solution gives a DTC business great control and data integrity for POS, Club, and Inventory as well as tight integration with the Active’s cart in the web store. Unlike other systems where it can be challenging to produce useful views or reports, Active takes a more common-sense approach by actually providing great access to what is really “your data” in providing multi-view and reporting options.” says Ayliffe.
Scott joins Active bringing more than two decades of technical and managerial accomplishments within I.T. organizations in various industries including oil/gas, telecom/internet, and consulting. He lives in the Texas Hill Country west of Austin and has worked in the wine industry for 6 years as a Tasting Associate, Tasting Room and Wine Club Manager, as well as Operations Manager. While most of the fruit in Texas is grown in the north west of the state in the Texas High Plains AVA, Scott lives on the 33 mile stretch of US-290 between Fredericksburg and Johnson City known as “Wine Road 290” due to the concentration of 50-plus wineries and tasting rooms on this section of road that are within a 1 to 1 ½ hour drive of Austin and San Antonio.
Graduating with a BA degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and a MSCIS degree from Univ. of Phoenix, Ayliffe continues to develop his knowledge of wine making and viticulture and is currently studying for his CSW certification. Scott regularly visits tasting rooms to sample the “hot weather” varieties that have established, and, continue to maintain, their excellent reputation in the Texas terroir.
